Planning the rest of your Vatican visit? The Romewise Vatican Hub is the place I'd send you next. It's the one page on the site I update most often, because the Vatican changes constantly. Tickets, timing, what to skip, what's free, what to book.

Skip the line with the Sistine Chapel shortcut

If you want the easiest version of all of this, our partner Walks of Italy runs the Pristine Sistine early-entry tour. You go into the Vatican before the public, then walk directly from the Sistine Chapel into Saint Peter's Basilica through the shortcut covered in this week's video. One security check, no line, both sights in one morning.
